Wrapsol's New Scratch-Free Film Protector
Today, protecting our cellphones, ipods, and other electronic devices is important to us due to their worth. At CES 2010, WebProNews came across Wrapsol's unique film creation that protects our mobile and other electronic devices that we love so much.
Althought many keep some sort of protective case on their cellphones and other gadgets, debris and dirt can make there way in there, still causing scratches to your device. Wrapsol's new protection keeps this from happening, allowing users to also have a protective case over the film if they wish. The film is clear for the front of the device, matte finished for the back, and is not bulky.
Wrapsol’s products are currently available on their site but will soon appear in stores such as Office Depot, Best Buy, and [...]

Google Allow Hard Alcohol & Liqueur Ads
It’s been a while since my last post. I have been really busy. But if you haven’t already heard Google have now updated their ad policy for hard alcohol and liquer targeting the U.S. I am told the UK will follow suit in the coming weeks.
Google had already quietly changed their policy at the end of October allowing PPC ads for beer. However according to the Inside Adwords blog the new rules are for promotion and branding rather than direct sale which are still not allowed -

Ads that directly promote the sale of hard alcohol and liqueurs are still not permissible through our program. In contrast, advertisements for beer may directly promote its sale.“
The news comes after Google firstly removed their keyword trademark policy in the UK and then permitted advertising for online gambling in the UK, Italy, France and Spain.
Obviously only the cynics would correlate this with an attempt to subdue the effects of the current economic climate, Googles subsequent fall in share pric/> [...]

Notify Your Neighbors: EveryBlock Launches User-Contributed Announcements
Until now, all the news on the hyperlocal news site EveryBlock was compiled by the site's editors and algorithms. Today, EveryBlock launched a nifty new feature that allows its users to post stories to the site and notify their neighbors about interesting events in their neighborhoods. The new feature allows users to post anything from news alerts to questions and classified ads on the site. These alerts will also now appear in EveryBlock's newly enhanced iPhone app (iTunes link).

These announcements will be clearly labeled as thus and messages will also be published to nearby neighborhoods, ZIP and block pages so that other users in the immediate vicinity can also see them.
Currently, EveryBlock is only available in a select number of cities in the U.S., though the service plans to expand its reach in the near future. MSNBC acquired EveryBlock in August 2009.
